A community fundraiser supporting local care Week 6 · Friday, August 28
Home·About Rotary
This raffle is run by volunteers of the Rotary Club of New Tecumseth. Nobody is paid to run it, and half of every ticket stays in the community.
The club was chartered in 1955 as the Rotary Club of Alliston, sponsored by the Rotary Clubs of Beeton and Bradford. It took its present name, the Rotary Club of New Tecumseth, to reflect the communities it actually serves — Alliston, Beeton, Tottenham and the townships around them.
Members meet on the second and fourth Monday of the month at the Gibson Centre in Alliston. Between meetings they run the events this town knows well: the Potato Festival parade, the fundraising draws, the scholarships and the community projects that quietly need doing.
Catch the Ace is the newest of those efforts, and by some distance the one with the biggest prize attached.

Fifty cents of every dollar raised by this raffle stays here, supporting the organisations below.
The hospital serving Alliston and the surrounding townships, currently being redeveloped and expanded.
Hospice and bereavement care for families across South Simcoe, provided at no cost to them.
Youth programs, scholarships, the Rotary pool, park improvements and the club’s international service work.
How the proceeds may be used is set by the licence. The licensee reports on the raffle to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, and the accounts are audited annually.

New Tecumseth
The club meets twice a month at the Gibson Centre in Alliston. Nobody is paid to run this raffle — the work is done by members between meetings.
Local businesses cover the costs of running the raffle, which is why so much of each ticket can go to the cause.
Sponsor logos to be supplied by the club with permission to use them. Until then these are text plates rather than someone else’s artwork.
